Seminar on “Transparency and Accountability in the Public Sector of Bangladesh” held at BUP

Dhaka, 27 September 2018: Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) organized a seminar titled “Transparency and Accountability in the Public Sector of Bangladesh” on 27 September 2018 by the Department of Business Administration-General under Faculty of Accounting and Information Systems at Bijoy Auditorium in its campus.
In the seminar, Mohammad Muslim Chowdhury, Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh graced the occasion as the chief guest and BUP VC Major General Md Emdad-Ul-Bari, ndc, psc, te & Pro-VC Professor M Abul Kashem Mozumder, PhD were present as the special guests. Mr. Mahmudul Hasan Khusru, FCA, Vice President of ICAB, Director & CEO of Data Fort Limited was the keynote speaker in the seminar. Lt. Col. A H M Yeaseen Chowdhury, Arty, Dean (Acting), Faculty of Business Studies chaired the seminar.
The speakers spoke on the seminar that the government has taken several steps to strengthen the public sector to meet the target of 2021 such as access to information (A2I), e-governance, SDG, etc. They think as much transparency and social accountability increase, good governance will ensure much. They think it is possible to ensure good governance by establishing transparency and social accountability.
BUP High Officials, Officers, Teachers and Students were also present in the seminar.
