Acknowledged for its professionalism, impeccable organization and unforgettable academic mega-events, BUP Global Affairs Council (BUPGAC) has been successfully raising the bars higher and higher every year by working with utmost dedication and innovation to create an established platform on an international level and continuing with the captivating experiences of the great battles of diplomacy since 2016.
Going forward with that legacy, BUP Global Affairs Council is delighted to be back this time with one of the most awaited and anticipated events of the year, “BUP INTERNATIONAL MODEL UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE 2020”. January 28, 2021 to January 31, 2021 will mark the 5th edition of the signature event of BUPGAC – and by no means the last!
For the first time in 5 years, the event will be 4-days long and the whole conference will be conducted online, allowing easy use for the delegates and enhancing every participant’s experience with more opportunities to be heard. During this complex year of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world has been confronted with great crises and challenges, which countries have attempted, with more or less success, to overcome in order to work for peace. Thus, inspiring the well thought-out theme for the vision and mission of this conference, “Fostering Connectivity to Build Resilience against Global Crisis” and making this event an exciting opportunity for the youth from diverse backgrounds to foster dialogue and debate on the rising global issues, creating change and building peace worldwide.
Amid this pandemic and with the upsettingly increasing numbers of COVID stricken individuals, we-having strong motivation and solid effort- set our sights on providing the experience of a lifetime by keeping the wellbeing, circumstances, and conditions of our participants in mind. BUPIMUN 2020 realizes and addresses the sensitivity of the COVID-19 issue by maintaining the social distancing guidelines and following necessary precautions in the interests of all individuals involved.
BUPIMUN 2020 aims to stimulate participants’ sense of authority and tackle the issue of individual power and responsibility. It focuses on motivating participants to imagine themselves not as mere spokespeople of conceptual “delegations” but as real diplomats: complex human beings who must balance the interests of their superiors (be it an employer or a sovereign state) with their own affairs. This is the perfect platform for aspiring young leaders have a rewarding experience with near-boundless opportunities.
