Batch Trip 2020 of the Department of English Batch-2
The annual batch trip of the final year students (batch of 2017) of the Department of English, FASS was held from 28th February to 4th March of this year. In this six (6) days long batch trip, a group of 41 people including students, teachers and staff of the department visited Bandarban and Cox’s Bazar. The trip was started from BUP premise at 8:00am on 28th February. Upon reaching Bandarban on that day, they stayed there till the afternoon of1st March. The group visited Nilgiri, Nilachol, Chimbuk, Shoilopropat, Golden Temple and other famous places in Bandaban and gained knowledge on the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Bangladesh. In the afternoon of 1st March, they started their journey to Cox’s Bazar from Bandarban and reached there by evening. They stayed in Cox’ Bazar till 3rd March and visited Patuartek, Inani, Himchori, Kolatoli, Sugandha and Laboni beaches.
The group also arranged a “Beach Cleaning Initiative” in Cox’s Bazar Laboni Beach on 2nd March to spread consciousness about the conservation of the largest sea beach in the world. A bar-b-que dinner party followed by cultural show by the students was arranged in Urmee BGB Beach Cafe in the evening of 3rd March. On 4th March, the trip ended by their return journey from Cox’s Bazar to BUP.
