BUP Inter Varsity Debate Competition (BUP IV) is one of the flagship events organized by BUPDC (BUP Debate Club). BUP IV-2021 is an annual gathering of country’s best university debaters and public speakers. Over the span of fivedays (in two phase), participants endured grueling debates and challenging cases to solve.BUP debate Club has hosted this mega event. This will definitely improve the debating skills and to be proficient in corporate world in future.

Students at all levels from diverse disciplines ranging from Engineering to the Social Sciences have competed against each other. English Britsh Parliamentary debate competition conducted online and also Bangla Asian Parliamentary debate conducted online except the final round, which was conducted offline on 06 November 2021 at Bijoy Auditorium of  BUP.

A total of 46 teams from 26 Universities participated in the debate competition 2021. In Bangla Asian Parliamentary Debate, 22 teams from 18 universities participated while in English British Parliamentary Novice Debate 24 teams from 14 universities participated. Two teams from Bangla Asian Parliamentary Debate and four teams from English British Parliamentary Novice Debate qualified for the final round. In the final round, Bangladesh University of Professionals became the champion and Dhaka University became the runners up from Bangla Asian Parliamentary Debate and Islamic University of Technology became the champion and Bangladesh University of Textile became the runners up from English British Parliamentary Novice Debate.

Vice Chancellor of BUP Major General Md Moshfequr Rahman, SGP, SUP, ndc, psc was present in the programme as a Chief Guest and distributed prizes among the winners.

Among others, Invited Guests, Participants from different universities, BUP high officials, teachers, officers, students and a number of journalists from print & electronic media were also present in the programme.
