BUP Observes ‘Genocide Day’
Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) has observed the Genocide Day with due dignity and respect on 25 March 2021 at Bijoy Auditorium of its Campus arranged by BUP Literature and Drama Club under the Department of English, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). The day was observed maintaining social distance and hygiene keeping the Covid pandemic in consideration. The programmes of the day were set with a view to make young generation aware of the political, historical and National and significance of the day. The programmes included commemoration of 25 March genocide by a prominent freedom fighter, one-minute “Black-out”, special munajat and so on. In the discussion session, prominent freedom fighter Bir Protik Lt. Col. (Retd.) Quazi Sajjad Ali Zahir, commemorated the barbaric attack and atrocity committed by Pakistani aggressors on the night of March 25. BUP VC Major General Md Moshfequr Rahman, SGP, SUP, ndc, psc was also present as the discussant in the meeting. Among others, Pro-VC Professor M Abul Kashem Mozumder, PhD, other high officials, faculty members and students also participated in the programme in both physical or virtual platform.
