On June 20, 2022, the fourteenth Annual Senate Meeting of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) was held at Bijoy Auditorium of BUP. BUP Vice Chancellor and Senate Chairman Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam, ndc, afwc, psc, MPhil, PhD presided over the meeting. In the meeting, the Senate Chairman apprised about various ongoing activities of BUP amid global adverse situation which include academic, administrative and development activities of the university. Later, BUP Treasurer Air Commodore Md Reza Emdad Khan, BUP, NDC, psc, GD(P) put forward the revised budget for 2021-2022 fiscal year amounting Tk. 123.09 Crore and announced Tk. 114.95 Crore budget for the fiscal year 2022-2023 that unanimously approved by the Senate Members. Chief of Public Relations, Information and Publications (PRI&P) Air Commodore Md. Mamunur Rashid, BUP, ndc, afwc, psc, Mphil, ADWC also presented the fourteenth Annual Report (July 2021-June 2022) of BUP. Air Commodore Mamun informed the senate regarding evaluating, reviewing, and updating 49 programmes under 8 faculties and center in BUP and 162 training curricula under 56 affiliated institutes under BUP this year. He also highlighted all the important actions taken by BUP to improve standard of education. Later, the annual report approved by the Senate Members. BUP Registrar Abdullah Al Mamun, SPP, ndc, psc, G conducted the meeting. Among the Senate Members, notably Major (Retd) Rafiqul Islam (Bir Uttam), MP, Mr. H N Ashiqur Rahman, MP, Mr. Muhammad Faruk Khan, MP appreciated the advancement of BUP and gave valuable advice on the improvement of education curriculum of the university. All respected members attended the meeting physically and virtually, have given their valuable opinions during the meeting. BUP Vice Chancellor and Senate Chairman Major General Mahbub said in his address that all the academic and administrative activities of BUP were going on even in the face of global pandemic. As a model of successful implementation of Digital Bangladesh announced by respected Prime Minister BUP has brought lot of changes in the curriculum and introduced new subjects to meet 4^th industrial revolution and Sustainable Development Goal, he added. He further said that as a new university, the students of BUP are already showing signs of success at home and abroad. Moreover, he also added various expansion activities of the campus. The respected Senate Chairman further stated that through Counseling and Placement Center (CPC) of BUP regularly counselling on students with psychological problems, advice educational performance, adaptation, career counseling, internship management services. He particularly mentioned that BUP is striving hard to improve education standard of the university to international level. At the end for exceptional achievement in the field on education, new entrepreneurship, and extra-curricular activities at the international level, two teachers and six ex and present students were given away the prizes from the senate. Finally, the chairman thanked all the esteemed members at the meeting and announced the conclusion of the Fourteenth Annual Senate Meeting of BUP.
