Prize Giving Ceremony of Quiz Competition on 'Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's Glorious Life and His Contribution’ Held at BUP
Bangladesh University of
Professionals (BUP) has arranged various programmes on the occasion of the
birth anniversary of the great architect of independence, Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day-2021. Due to Corona
pandemic situation, these programmes are observed at a limited scale maintaining
social distancing. Quiz competition on 'Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman's Glorious Life and His Contribution’ was one of the programmes
among various programmes. The prize giving ceremony of Quiz Competition organized
by Quizzers Society run by the Department of International Relations, Faculty
of Security and Strategic Studeis (FASS) of BUP was held at Bijoy Auditorium on
17 March 2021. The competition started on 4 March 2021 and ended on 17 March
2021. The aim of the competition was to
make the students more knowledgeable, competent and qualified about the
glorious life and contribution of Bangabandhu.
In the prize giving ceremony, Mr. Asaduzzaman Noor, MP was the present as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners. BUP VC Major General Md. Moshfequr Rahman, SGP, SUP, ndc, psc, Pro-VC M Abul Kashem Mozumder, PhD and Dr. Syed Anwar Husain, Professor of Bangabandhu Chair were present as the special guests.
About
1,500 contestants from various colleges and universities participated in the
two-week long competition. Among them, 25 contestants qualified to the semi-final
and 10 contestants qualified to the grand finale. In the grand finale held in Faculty
of Security and Strategic Studies (FSSS) conference room, 5 contestants were
finally selected. Out of 5 winners, 4 winners were from BUP and 1 winner was from
Adamjee Cantt College.
The chief
guest stated in his speech that Bangabandhu has brought a revolutionary change
in the national life. They were wanted to be excluded him from the history of
Bangladesh but the truth can never be kept secret and that is why he has been
recognized as the best Bengali in the history of Bangladesh for thousands years.
He also mentioned that if the students appreciate Bangabandhu's speech,
struggle, sacrifice and love for the people then they will be benefited.
Among
others, BUP high officials, faculty members, students, invest guests,
journalist were also present in the competition.
