Mashiur Rahman, the Honorable Economic Affairs Adviser to the
Prime Minister of Bangladesh. Dr. Qazi
Kholiquzzaman Ahmad, Chairman, Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) was the
Key Note Speaker and Dr. Zahid Hussain, Former Lead Economist, The World Bank
Bangladesh was the Guest Speaker of the online seminar. Major General Md Moshfequr Rahman, SGP,
SUP, ndc, psc, Vice Chancellor, Bangladesh University
of Professionals and Professor M Abul Kashem Mozumder, Ph.D Pro-Vice Chancellor,
Bangladesh University of Professionals were present as Special Guests. Speakers pointed out that Bangladesh's graduation
from the LDC category is a clear sign of progress and a token of global
recognition. Besides the reputational benefits, the main idea is to develop the
country and transform the economy structurally towards high productivity
economic activities. They also provided directions for devising a smooth
strategy to overcome the challenges and to realize the potentials from this key
milestone in the country’s marvelous journey towards development. Brigadier General A.K.M. Iqbal Azim, ndc, psc, G+, PhD, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Chairmen, Faculty Members, Students
of Department of Development Studies including MDS (Professional) and other Departments
of BUP, invited guests attended the Webinar.
