Webinar on “Career Prospects of disaster management students in the Public Health Sector in Bangladesh” Held
On 19 august 2020, the Department of
Disaster and Human Security Management under the Faculty of Arts and Social
Sciences virtually organized a webinar titled “Career Prospects of Disaster
Management Students in the Public Health Sector in Bangladesh” as part of the
course. Lecturer Musarrat Zaman hosted the webinar. Sheikh Towhidur Rahaman,
Project Management Consultant of World Bank and Former Deputy Manager –
Management Information System, USAID’s MaMoni Maternal and Newborn Care Strengthening
Project, Save the Children International joined as the invited guest. In the
webinar, the speaker talked about the general concerns of public health, his
experiences of working, the scope and challenges of working in public health
sector, the academics and higher study issue and finally about the concern and
role of public health workers in Covid-19 pandemics. Among others, students
from other batches of DHSM were also joined the webinar.
