MPhil Programme

The duration of MPhil Programme is of two years. The researcher needs to complete course work in first year. After successful completion of course work, the researcher presents first seminar in the beginning of second year. This seminar is called “Proposal Seminar”.  At the end of second year, on completion of data collection and data analysis, the researcher presents second seminar.  This seminar is called “Pre-submission Seminar”. After successful completion of Pre-submission seminar the researcher needs to defend the thesis. MPhil degree is awarded on successful completion of defence of the thesis. MPhil researcher is required to publish two articles in peer reviewed journal having ISSN. One article is to be published after 1st seminar and the other one is after second seminar but before defence. The registration of MPhil programme of remains valid for 4 years. However, it can be extended for another two years subject to approval of Academic Council. 

PhD Programme

The duration of PhD Programme is of three years. The researcher needs to complete course work in first year. After successful completion of course work, the researcher presents first seminar in the beginning of second year. This seminar is called “Proposal Seminar”.  At the end of second year, the researcher presents second seminar where he shows his research advancement after collecting data and incorporating the observations given in the first seminar by panel members. This seminar is known as “Advancement Seminar”. After completion of necessary corrections and modification pointed out in the first and second seminars, data collection, and data analysis, the fellow presents third seminar which is known as Pre-submission Seminar.  After successful completion of Pre-submission seminar the researcher needs to defend the thesis. PhD degree is awarded on successful completion of defence of the thesis. PhD researcher is required to publish three articles in peer reviewed journal having ISSN. One article is to be published after 1st seminar, one after second seminar and the other one is after third seminar but before defence. The registration of PhD programme remains valid for 5 years. However, it can be extended for another two years subject to approval of Academic Council.
