Biography

Maruf Ahmed is a Lecturer in the Department of Business Administration in Accounting and Information Systems at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). He joined BUP on September 1, 2026. He holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a major in Accounting and Information Systems (AIS) from Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU).His teaching and research interests encompass emerging and interdisciplinary areas of accounting, finance, and information systems, including Cloud Accounting, Climate Finance, Corporate Sustainability, Corporate Governance, Ethical Finance, Sustainable Investment Decision, Artificial Intelligence, and Financial Reporting Quality. His research focuses on exploring how technological innovation, financial practices, and organizational mechanisms shape sustainable business and financial decision-making. He has contributed to the academic community through publications in scholarly journals.As an academic, he is committed to excellence in teaching, student-centered learning, critical thinking, and rigorous research. He aims to contribute to the development of Accounting and Information Systems education and advance impactful interdisciplinary research that addresses contemporary business and societal challenges. His academic work reflects a strong commitment to integrity, innovation, continuous learning, and the pursuit of excellence in higher education.
