Biography

Ms. Muslima Akter Akhi is a Lecturer in Accounting and Information Systems in the Department of Business Administration-General at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). She joined BUP in September 1, 2026. She completed her BBA and MBA in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Dhaka. She achieved outstanding academic distinction during her MBA and stood 1st in MBA Program.Prior to joining BUP, Ms. Muslima worked as a Lecturer at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) and Daffodil International University (DIU). Her academic journey and teaching experience reflect her strong commitment to accounting education, research, and continuous academic development.Her research interests encompass auditing, audit quality, tax avoidance, audit timeliness, corporate governance, sustainability, artificial intelligence in education and financial reporting. Her academic philosophy centers on making learning meaningful, practical, and engaging. She believes in fostering conceptual understanding, critical thinking, active participation, and ethical awareness among students. She is also committed to pursuing meaningful research and contributing to the advancement of accounting education and practice.
