Mehedi Hasan Anik is a Lecturer in the Department of Law at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). Previously, he served as a Lecturer at Dhaka International University (DIU), where he also contributed as the Moderator of the DIU Law Debating Club and Co-Moderator of the DIU Moot Court Society.

He completed both his LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.M. with high distinction from Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University (JKKNIU). During his time there, Anik was actively engaged in national and international competitive arenas, notably participating in the 44th Jean-Pictet Competition on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) held in Pokhara, Nepal, the 7th National Qualifying Rounds of Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, and the 13th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition (Bangladesh Rounds). He also represented his institution in renowned national debates hosted by Bangladesh Television (BTV), ATN, and TIB. His leadership portfolio during his student life included serving as the President of the JKKNIU Moot Court Society, General Secretary of the JKKNIU Debating Society, President of the Law Debating Club, and a founding member of the Rotaract Club of JKKNIU.

As an early-career legal researcher, Anik’s academic interests lie in New Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law (IHL), Cyber Law, Ethics and Peace Education. He regularly participates in academic conferences and seminars and actively adjudicates moot court and debate competitions. He has served as a resource person in multiple legal workshops and is an alumnus of the ELCOP 21st Human Rights Summer School, the CSGJ 9th Annual Winter School on Genocide Studies, and the Lucerne Summer University: Ethics in a Global Context (LSUE 2025) at the University of Lucerne, Switzerland.

At the heart of his professional journey is a deep passion for education. Inspired by his parents, Mehedi Hasan Anik aspires to shape future legal minds through ethical, engaged, and globally informed teaching.
