Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) started as Faculty of Technical and Engineering Studies (FTES) in 2012. It took its present name in 2014. Brigadier General Md Mustafa Kamal, SGP is the present Dean of the faculty. Currently, there are three departments offering B. Sc. /Engineering programs under this faculty. Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) commenced in 2015. Department of Environmental Science (ES) commenced in 2017. Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department has been commenced in 2022 under this faculty. The Department of ICT offers one regular master’s program named Master’s in Information and Communication Engineering (MICE) and two self-financed professional masters programs named Master’s in Information and Communication Technology (MICT) and Masters in Information System Security (MISS). Department of CSE offer two self-financed professional masters programs named Masters in Computer Science and Engineering (MCSE) and Master in Cyber Security (MCS). Regular master's program named Master’s in Environmental Science (MES) and Self-financed professional master’s program named MSc in Environmental Science and Management (MESM) is offered by the Department of Environmental Science. At present there are 32 in-house faculty members and 1137 students under the faculty of Science and Technology. BUP Robotic Club, BUP InfoTech Club, BUP IEEE Club, Environmental Club of BUP and BUP Programming Contest Club are administered by this faculty. Students of FST are developing themselves through active participation in co-curricular & extra-curricular activities both at national and international platforms.
