Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized a workshop titled World University Ranking: Criteria, Challenges & Best Practices on 28th August 2024 at Bijoy Auditorium in BUP. The workshop aimed to provide faculty members and officers with a deep understanding of the ranking methodologies & criteria through hands-on training and progressive lectures and discussions on developing strategies to improve key areas that impact rankings. Chief IQAC Brigadier General Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, SGP, SUP, ndc, hdmc, psc was present as Chief Discussant while workshop was moderated by Additional Director of IQAC Lieutenant Colonel Salauddin Mohammad, psc, G. Officers & faculty members from each faculty/department/office/branch of BUP and representatives from 6 affiliated institutions were attended in the workshop. The keynote speaker was Dr. Syed Shahrier Rahman, Professor, Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Arts & Additional Director (QA), Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), University of Dhaka. In the workshop, the keynote speaker addressed briefly about different university rankings, methodologies & criteria, ranking calculation methodology, developing essence of strategies to overcome challenges of university ranking etc.
