The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of BUP organized an online workshop titled “Round University Ranking for International Visibility” on 07 May 2026 to enhance institutional understanding regarding global university ranking systems and international visibility initiatives. The session was presided over by Captain Mahbubur Rashid, Director, IQAC, BUP. The workshop focused on the importance of participation in the Round University Ranking (RUR) system and its role in strengthening global academic reputation, international benchmarking, institutional quality enhancement, and strategic development. Representatives from RUR World University Ranking conducted the session and provided detailed insights into the RUR methodology, ranking indicators, data submission procedures and various participation packages available for universities. During the workshop, participants were introduced to the RUR Membership, Premium, and Reporter packages, along with the analytical and benchmarking facilities offered through the RUR Compare platform. The presenters also explained how participation in international ranking systems can contribute to improving institutional visibility, research impact, academic collaboration and global competitiveness. BUP Rankings committee members attended the online workshop. The session created an opportunity for interactive discussion regarding institutional data management, ranking indicators, and future strategies for enhancing BUP’s international standing.
