In a resounding display of academic excellence and strategic brilliance, the Department of BBA General has secured the Champion title at the prestigious HSBC Business Case Competition 2026. Organized by the BRAC University Business Club, this nationwide event is one of the most competitive platforms for aspiring business leaders in the country.

​A Historic Double Podium Finish

​The 2026 edition saw unprecedented participation, with 1,400 teams representing 46 universities from across Bangladesh. BUP achieved a monumental milestone as two separate teams climbed the podium:

​            Champions: The team from BBA General took home the top prize.

​2nd Runners-Up: A multi-disciplinary team comprised of students from Finance, AIS, Marketing, and Management secured the third-place position.

​This exceptional double podium finish underscores the analytical depth and innovative thinking present across the university’s diverse business disciplines.

​Dominance in the Grand Finale

​The university’s competitive edge was on full display throughout the tournament. Out of the five teams that reached the Grand Finale, four were from BUP, showcasing the institution's robust culture of case-solving and academic discipline.

​Going Global: The Road to Hong Kong

​As the national champions, the winning team from BBA General has earned the honor of representing Bangladesh on the global stage. They will soon travel to Hong Kong to compete in the HSBC/HKU Asia Pacific Business Case Competition, facing off against top-tier universities from around the world.
