Message of the Inspector of Colleges

Assalamualikum.

Warm greetings to all the respected and valued members of affiliated institutions. As the Inspector of Colleges (IOC), I extend a hearty welcome to our diverse academic family, who are dedicated to excellence in education and embody the values of being good human beings. Our institutions are vital hubs of learning, innovation and community engagement, promoting positive thinking and making a positive impact on society. The office of the IOC is committed to supporting each institution's endeavours, fostering growth and addressing challenges. Collaboration is the key to our success. By sharing strengths and best practices, we can enhance impact and provide quality education for all. We invite administrators, faculty, students and partners to join in this journey of improvement and support.

The office of the IOC oversees the affiliation and dis-affiliation processes for all institutes associated with BUP. Currently, BUP has 55 affiliated institutes. The IOC office is responsible for overall supervision and ensuring quality education in all these institutes.

About Office of the Inspector of Colleges

The Office of Inspector of Colleges (IOC) started its’ journey since 27 August 2008 with 9 affiliated institutes. Over the years, this number has grown significantly and it deals with 55 affiliated institutes in 2024. The IOC Office looks after the affiliation and disaffiliation processes of the institutes. The IOC Office is also vested with the responsibility to act as a hub for affiliated institutions to ensure regulatory aspects.

Mission:

To provide support, guidance and oversight to affiliated institutions for promoting need-based education and innovative research work through concerned faculties/departments.

Roles:

Office of the IOC is assigned with following three roles: 

  • ⁕ Academic Oversight: The IOC Office collaborates with the Dean/Chairman of the concerned faculty/department of BUP, the Office of the Evaluation, Faculty & Curriculum Development (OEFCD) and Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the university and affiliated institutes to ensure the quality education at national and international level.
  • ⁕ Compliance and Regulation: The IOC Office deals with affiliation and disaffiliation process and acts as a hub for affiliated institutions to ensure regulatory aspects.
  • ⁕ Research and Innovation: The IOC office remains responsible for coordination and assisting affiliated institutions to carry out research work in collaboration with BUP Research Centre (BRC) and Center for Higher Studies and Research (CHSR).
