The department of Peace, Conflict and Human Rights (PCHR) started its journey in 2014 with a vision to become globally recognized academic platform capable of making scholars and professionals in the contemporary field of peace, conflict and human rights. It is one of the oldest department of Bangladesh University of Professionals.
The department opened its Masters program on Peace, Conflict and Human Rights Studies (MPCHRS) in 2018 and the undergraduate program Bachelor of Social Science (Hon`s) in Peace, Conflict and Human Rights Studies (PCHRS) in 2022. These academic programs aim to encourage sharing of interdisciplinary knowledge and promote empirical understanding of peace, security, conflict and human rights issues to produce trained and skilled group of experts who can take the lead in any crisis moment to make, keep and build peace ensuring standards of human rights nationally and globally. This department is profoundly committed to serve the need of creating an affluent knowledge based society.
