Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) has achieved a remarkable milestone in academic excellence by becoming the Champions at the CFA Institute Research Challenge (Local Round -  Bangladesh) 2025-26. In a historic first for our institution, Team CRC claimed BUP’s inaugural title in this prestigious competition by demonstrating world-class analytical rigor and financial acumen.

The championship team, Team CRC, was composed of four students: Shakhawat Salim, Adib Bin Hannan, and Mohammad Faiyad Hossain from the Department of Business Administration - General, alongside Samin Al Fattah from the Department of Finance and Banking. Their victory is further bolstered by the collective success of our institution, as another talented team from BUP's Department of Finance and Banking secured the 2nd Runner-Up position. This dominant performance by our students placed BUP at the pinnacle of a highly competitive field, with IBA-Dhaka University finishing as the Runners-Up, and the other finalists representing FBS-Dhaka University and North South University.

The CFA Institute Research Challenge is a rigorous global competition that tests students on their ability to act as real-world equity analysts, and they were asked to do a valuation for Robi Axiata PLC this year. By outperforming the brightest minds from across the country, our students have proven that BUP is a premier hub for developing the next generation of finance and investment professionals. This achievement reflects the dedication of our faculty and the tireless effort of our students.

As the reigning national champions, Team CRC will now move forward to represent Bangladesh as team Bangladesh University of Professionals in the Sub-Regional Round of this global competition. We extend our heartiest congratulations to the winners and wish them the very best as they carry the BUP and national flag onto the international stage.
