Master of Public Health (MPH) Admission Advertisement (Session: January-June 2025)

 

General Requirements: The admission policy provides a framework for the selection of students to the MPH program on a competitive basis of their performance in qualifying examinations, comprising of a written test and an interview.

Application Procedure: BUP seeks applications from prospective candidates, who fulfill the admission qualifications as specified in Admission Circular. The admission notice is circulated before the commencement of the semester (academic year is divided into two semesters: January-June and July-December) through media advertisement and BUP website notice board for its Sessions of the year. The candidates are asked to apply through online. The detailed admission procedure has been spelled out in the prospectus, which is available in BUP website (www.bup.edu.bd).

 

Eligibility for Application:    

  • 1.  MBBS, BDS or MD or equivalent Professional degree in Medical Sciences (Homeopathy, Unani & Ayurvedic, Physiotherapy, BSc in Nursing etc.) or Four-year Undergraduate Degree from a recognized University in life Sciences, Social Sciences, Anthropology, Psychology, Computer Sciences & Information Technology.
  • 2. Candidates must have Science in SSC & HSC or equivalent Exam to apply for the program.
  • 3. Candidates must have At least Second Class in all exams or a minimum GPA /CGPA 2.50.
  • 4. Applicants who have taken O-Level Examination must pass at least five (05) subjects (including Mathematics) with a minimum of grade C in each of the subjects.
  • 5. Applicants who have taken the A-Level Examination must pass at least two (02) subjects with a minimum of grade C in each of these subjects.
  • 6. Professional Public Health Experience will be preferred.
  • 7. Basic Computer Skills including Microsoft Office and Data Analysis Software Preferred.

 

An entrance exam designed to measure basic writing, numeric and logical skills may be required of all students.
