MIST was established in 19 April 1998 by Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Mirpur Cantonment. It started its’ academic journey with 40 military officers in 1999 and with military and civil students in 2003. It has 12 Engineering departments under 4 faculties. It runs regular academic graduation within 4 years undergraduate program and one year Master Program. Presently MIST runs PhD and MPhil programs also.
1. MIST has peer reviewed online open access international journal.
2. 96 quality Engineering labs for applied knowledge and research.
3. It has academic affiliation with many universities of the world and collaboration with many industries at home.
