School of Military Intelligence (SMI)

SMI was raised on 15 May 1978 at Dhaka Cantonment. It was relocated to Cumilla Cantonment on 11 July 1981. This is the only intelligence training institute in BD Army. This institute has been imparting training on intelligence to the members of BD Armed Forces, other security and intelligence organizations and officers of our friendly countries since it's inception. Till now, total 171 different types of courses and combined training have been conducted. A total of 1457 officers, 3368 junior commissioned officers/Ranks and 80 Officers from friendly countries have been graduated from this institute.
