Biography

With a doctorate in business (international business & HRM) from Taylor’s University, Malaysia (AACSB-accredited), and with substantive experience in higher education, he has cultivated a career primarily focused on educational policymaking, postgraduate supervision, curriculum development, and applied research. His teaching and research encompass human resource management, leadership, employee retention, strategic management, international business, entrepreneurship, development studies, and security and governance, with a strong focus on student learning, research mentorship, and evidence-based practices within organizations.

He possesses over 24 peer-reviewed publications in reputable outlets, including ABS 3 and ABDC A* journals, as well as numerous Q1–Q4 SCOPUS-indexed journals and book chapters. His research is extensively referenced and has been showcased at numerous international academic conferences, including those hosted by the University of Oxford, the British Academy of Management, and the University of Jordan, as well as in Germany. He has undertaken active faculty roles, including session chair, keynote speaker or resource person, conference chair, and chief editor, utilizing these platforms as extensions of his teaching and research dissemination efforts.

He has supervised over 30 master’s, MPhil, and PhD theses and has examined more than 100 theses, thereby making a substantial contribution to postgraduate education and the development of academic expertise. He is also the author of numerous books and book chapters. He has developed and facilitated numerous workshops on research methodology and data analysis (including PLS-SEM, CB-SEM, SPSS, academic writing, and research design) for students, faculty members, and early-career researchers in Bangladesh and internationally. 

Complementing his university responsibilities, his prior experience in the Bangladesh Prime Minister's Office, the Armed Forces Division, and the United Nations has primarily focused on training, curriculum development, and research-based policy formulation, which he now regards as an extension of faculty work in professional and executive education environments.

  • His expertise extends to highly relevant areas in modern business, such as Change Management, Diversity and Inclusion, Cross-Cultural Management, and Global HR Management, as well as Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). He has also contributed to the fields of Entrepreneurship, Marketing Management, Innovation, Digital Marketing, and Start-Up Marketing. These subjects are integrated into his teaching with real-world case studies, empirical research, and student-driven research initiatives, ensuring that each course bridges theory with practical application.
