Shahadatul Islam is a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Medical Studies, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). Prior to joining BUP, he serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy at Eastern University for approximately one year across two semesters and at Atish Dipankar University of Science and Technology (ADUST) for approximately six months across one semester.

He holds a B.Pharm degree from Jagannath University-Dhaka, securing First Class 2^nd,  and an M.Pharm degree from Jagannath University- Dhaka, securing First-class 1^st. During his academic career at Jagannath University, he received several scholarships in recognition of his academic performance. He is an A-Grade registered pharmacist and was awarded the NST Fellowship for the 2024–2025 academic year. He has academic and research experience in pharmaceutical sciences, with a strong interest in advancing pharmacy education and research.

Hisresearch interests encompass medicinal chemistry and drug discovery,phytochemical characterization and pharmacological evaluation of medicinalplants, ethnopharmacology, antioxidant and antidiabetic research,nanoparticle-based drug delivery, computational drug discovery and moleculardocking, AI-driven pharmacology, and public health research. His research aimsto integrate experimental and computational approaches to identify bioactivecompounds, explore their therapeutic potential, and contribute to thedevelopment of evidence-based pharmaceutical interventions.
