Biography

I am a Doctoral candidate at the College of Media and Communication, at Texas Tech University and an assistant professor at the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Bangladesh University of Professionals. My passion centers around the intricate interplay among technology, media, society, and culture. Specifically, I have nurtured a profound interest in the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and news organizations. I did not limit myself to academic research and started an AI-based startup tool named Bangla AI for Bengali ethnic media based in New York City. I am also the student lead of the Innovation Diffusion Lab (IDL). I am currently working as a research assistant on the KnowCOVID-19 science gateway project. The National Science Foundation (NSF) funded this research project under grant numbers NSF-2006816 and NSF-2007100.
