Tanjila Afrin is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Development Studies, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). She obtained her MPhil degree in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, UK with 'distinction' securing 3rd place in a cohort of 76 students. She received her B.S.S. (Hons.) and M.S.S. (in Development Economics) degrees from the Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
