Biography

Md. Arifur Rahman Bhuiyan earned a BS (Honors) in Soil, Water and Environment from the University of Dhaka's department Soil, Water and Environment. He earned his MS in Environmental Science from the same department. At the Bangladesh Australia Center for Environmental Research (BACER-DU), he worked as a graduate research assistant. Additionally, he worked for other public and private institutions as well. His areas of competence in research include soil science, wastewater treatment, heavy metal pollution, waste recycling, plastic pollution, environmental pollution, and waste management. He also oversees projects, theses, and internships, advising and supervising interns and students while they conduct research. As the BES 2020 batch's advisor, he helps and mentors the students in improving and strengthening their academic performance. As the lab in-charge, he is in responsibility of managing the "Environmental Chemistry Laboratory". He enjoys singing, traveling and gardening in addition to research and teaching.
