Biography
Md. Golam Muktadir has been serving as a faculty member in Environmental Science under Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) since April 2021. Prior to his current position, he worked as a Research Assistant and Trainer at the Earth Observatory of Singapore (EOS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Muktadir's educational background includes an MS in Geophysics (Thesis) and BS (Honors) in Geology from the University of Dhaka. He possesses a diverse set of software skills, including proficiency in ArcGIS10.8.1, ArcGIS Pro, ERDAS Imagine, ENVI etc. as well as versed in handling various instruments such as the Total Height Station, XRF Analyzer, UV Spectophotographer, Portable Water Testing Kit etc. Additionally, Muktadir has been supervising students in their undergrad research project and intern. His area of research interest are GIS & RS, Climate Change, Groundwater Contamination, Physical Environment etc. He serves as the Batch Advisor of BES 2022 batch, guiding and mentoring them in their academic improvement and betterment. He is responsible for overseeing the GIS & Remote Sensing Lab as the Lab In-charge.
