Biography
Muhammad Nafis Shahriar Farabi is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). He has completed both his Honors and Master’s degrees in Economics from the same university. An alumnus of Dhaka Residential Model College and Notre Dame College, he has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, earning the Dean’s Letter of Appreciation and representing Bangladesh at international youth platforms.
His research interests focus on development economics, international trade, public health, and econometrics. He has published in PLOS ONE on the efficacy of cash incentive policies in enhancing remittance inflows and contributed to policy briefs and book chapters addressing governance and regional trade cooperation. Recognized through academic competitions and leadership in the Economics Club, he remains committed to advancing economic research and inspiring students through teaching and scholarly engagement.
