Nur-E-Zannat Ankhi is a Lecturer in the Department of Development Studies at Bangladesh University of Professionals. She completed her Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) and Master of Social Science in Development Studies from Bangladesh University of Professionals, securing the “First Class First Position” in both programmes. Her academic journey has been distinguished by consistent academic excellence, reflected in her receipt of the Vice Chancellor’s Merit Scholarship and the Dean's Appreciation Letter for Academic Excellence in every single semester of both programmes. These recognitions reflect her sustained academic performance and commitment to excellence throughout her Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) and Master of Social Science studies. Prior to joining the faculty, Nur-E-Zannat Ankhi gained professional experience as a Research Assistant at the Development Research Initiative (dRi) and as an Intern at the Development Initiative for Social Advancement (DISA). These experiences have contributed to her engagement with research and development-oriented work and have complemented her academic training in Development Studies. Nur-E-Zannat Ankhi’s research interests encompass a range of interdisciplinary areas, including Gender Studies, Queer Theory, Sexuality Education, Migration and Refugee Studies, Critical Ethnography and Anthropology. Her academic interests bring together diverse perspectives on gender, sexuality, migration, society, and human experiences, reflecting a broad engagement with contemporary issues within the social sciences. Alongside her academic and research interests, she possesses advanced technical expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research tools. She is proficient in NVivo, SPSS, R Programming, and STATA, enabling her to engage with a range of qualitative and quantitative research approaches and analytical techniques.
