Biography

Md. Yousuf Ahammed is a Lecturer in Finance at the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). He completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Banking from Jahangirnagar University. Prior to joining BUP, he served as a faculty member at Bangladesh Army International University of Science & Technology (BAIUST), Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), and Bangladesh University, and also worked as a Research Associate at LankaBangla Securities Ltd.

He has published peer-reviewed research articles in national and international journals, including Scopus-indexed outlets, and has presented research papers at academic conferences. His research interests include financial markets, corporate finance, behavioral finance, investment decision-making, and business analytics.

Alongside his academic responsibilities, he regularly engages in professional development activities related to outcome-based education, data analysis using R programming, financial literacy, and national accreditation and quality assurance frameworks such as BNQF and BAC.

His research interests focus on capital market behavior, behavioral finance, corporate financial performance, and working capital management, with particular emphasis on investment decision-making and consumer- and marketing-related financial behavior. He is particularly interested in empirical research in emerging markets, with a growing focus on fintech, financial inclusion, sustainable finance, and ESG considerations in investment decision-making.
