Md. Faruk Hossain is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration (General), Faculty of Business Administration, at the Bangladesh University of Professionals. He started his career at BUP with more than 18 years of teaching experience in public and private universities. He was awarded a PhD in Finance from the University of Dhaka in 2024. His doctoral thesis focuses on the role of corporate governance mechanisms in enhancing firm performance in Bangladesh by mitigating the detrimental effects of family control. He has published several research papers in national and international refereed journals, including Scopus-indexed journals such as Asian Business & Management and Corporate Governance. His published research papers encompass the areas of Corporate Governance, Corporate Finance, and the Emerging Stock Market. Apart from this, he has presented research papers at several international conferences.
