Biography
Umme Habiba is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). She completed her BSS and MSS in Economics at the University of Dhaka, ranking first in her MSS with a CGPA of 3.91/4.00. Her research interests include environmental and development economics, climate change, migration, household resilience, financial inclusion, and public policy. She has published research in international peer-reviewed journals and has participated in funded research projects on climate vulnerability, adaptation, microcredit, and climate finance. Alongside teaching economics and econometrics, she is particularly interested in applying quantitative methods to real-world development challenges and promoting evidence-based policy research.
