Lt Col Dilip Kumar Roy, PhD was commissioned in the Army Education Corps in December 1998. He obtained his BA (Hons) and MA in English Literature from the University of Dhaka. He also received Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). He served as Instructor Class ‘C’, ‘B’ and ‘A’ in Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA), General Staff Officer-3 (Education) in an Infantry Brigade and Instructor Class ‘B’ in Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST). He also served as General Staff Officer, Grade-2 in Education Directorate, Army Headquarters, Dhaka. He served as a Principal of Bandarban Cantonment Public School and College. He attended the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Sudan as a Protocol, Liaison and Civil Military Coordination (CIMIC)Officer. He also served under the Blue Helmet for the 2nd time in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as CIMIC officer. Lt Col Dilip Kumar Roy, PhD visited Nepal, India, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Canada. He attended a number of courses in home and abroad. It is to be mentioned that he has a good number of publications to his credit indifferent journals and newspapers. Recently, two research articles of this researcher pertaining to his PhD research have been published in different journals. Lt Col Dilip Kumar Roy, PhD was the editor of Bangladesh Army Journal, Armed Forces Journal, Padakhkhep and Chiro Unnato Momo Shir. Presently he is serving in BUP as a faculty in the department of English.
