BUP Observes ‘July Mass Uprising Day 2026’ with Various Programmes

Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) observed 'July Mass Uprising Day 2026' with due dignity and solemnity through a series of commemorative programmes. To mark the occasion, the university arranged essay, poetry and painting competitions, a discussion session, a remembrance programme, a special prayer (Munajat), and a ceremony to honour the family members of the martyred students.

On 06 August 2026, a discussion session, tribute, and remembrance programme was held at the Bijoy Auditorium of BUP. During the event, tribute was paid to the martyrs of the July Mass Uprising, their sacrifices were remembered, and the significance of the uprising in the national history of Bangladesh was highlighted. The family members of BUP student martyr Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdha and martyr Zobayer Omar Khan attended the programme as special guests.

The Vice Chancellor of BUP, Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam, BSP, ndc, afwc, psc, MPhil, PhD, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, he reaffirmed BUP's commitment to fostering patriotism, democratic values, critical thinking, and awareness of the nation's history among its students. The programme was also attended by military and civilian officials of BUP, faculty members from different faculties, and students.
