“Exam Ease: Stress & Time Management”

To promote student well-being and resilience, the Counselling and Placement Centre (CPC) at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) organized a workshop titled “Exam Ease: Stress & Time Management” on 02 November 2026. The workshop was held for the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (FASS), Faculty of Security & Strategic Studies (FSSS), and Faculty of Science and Technology (FST).

The sessions explored the causes and effects of academic stress, highlighting its mental and physical manifestations. Students worked in groups, and a total of 10 groups presented on their own stress responses and learned to distinguish between healthy and unhealthy coping strategies. They were also guided through self-assessments and introduced to evidence-based techniques such as identifying stressors in life, resourceful and unresourceful coping mechanisms, the 5-5-5 breathing exercise, creating their own time management system and increasing focus. The workshop concluded with an engaging Q&A, where participants openly shared their experiences and sought personalized guidance.

Overall, the workshop proved to be both effective and inspiring. The active participation of students underscored the importance of addressing academic stress and effective time management while equipping them with practical tools to cultivate resilience and sustain hope in their academic journey.
