Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

The closing and prize distribution ceremony of Inter-Department Badminton and Volleyball Competition-2023 organized by the Physical Education Centre of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) was held on 02 February 2023 on its campus. The competition commenced on 11 January 2023 where 18 departments of this university participated in both the Male and Female category. In Badminton Male Single Category, the Department of Law became champion, and the Department of Management became runner-up where in Female Single Category, the Department of Marketing became champion, and the Department of Management became runner-up. Besides, The Department of Management became champion, the Department of Marketing became runner-up in Male (Dual) Category where in Female (Dual) Category, the Department of Marketing became Champion, and the Department of Management became runner-up. In Volleyball, the Department of Disaster Management and Resilience became champion, and the Department of BBA-General became runner-up in the male category. Besides, the Department of Marketing became the champion, and the Department of Development Studies became runner-up in the female category. Respected Vice Chancellor of BUP Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam, ndc, afwc, psc, MPhil, PhD graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and distributed prizes among the winners. Other High Officials, Faculty Members and Students were also present in the said occasion.
