Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) recently hosted its annual event where faculty members and officers showcased research projects funded by the "BUP Research Project" grants for the fiscal years 2022–23 and 2023–24. On April 30, 2024, project directors had the opportunity to present their findings and insights from their respective research endeavors.
The presence of key figures such as Professor Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain, BUP's Pro-Vice Chancellor; Brigadier General Mohammad Shahiduzzaman Khan, Dean of the Centre for Higher Studies & Research (CHSR); and Captain Mahbubur Rashid, Director of the Centre for Higher Studies & Research. Their attendance highlighted BUP's dedication to fostering research excellence and academic advancement.
Brigadier General Mohammad Shamsul Arefin, as the concerned faculty dean of FASS was also present. Additionally, subject experts Professor Shuchita Sharmin from the Department of Development Studies at the University of Dhaka and Associate Professor Mohammed Moniruzzaman Khan from the Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies (IDMVS), University of Dhaka, provided valuable insights.
Throughout the presentations, 11 project directors showcased a diverse range of topics, including developmental studies and disaster management. Each presentation offered unique insights and contributions to the academic community.
