Field Visit to the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC)

27 Nov 2024

The Department of Public Administration has conducted a one-day field visit for the BPA-2022 batch (5th Semester) on Wednesday, 27 November 2024, from 0800 hrs to 1400 hrs. This visit, organized as part of the course “Public Administration of South Asia (PA 3521),” and was taken place at the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC) at Savar, Dhaka. BPATC, a premier institution for training and research in public administration, offers students a valuable opportunity to observe and understand administrative practices in action. The primary objective of the visit was to familiarize students with the theoretical and practical aspects of Human Resource Management (HRM) and its application in local governance in Bangladesh. By engaging directly with experts at BPATC, students could enhance their understanding of HRM strategies, their implementation in public institutions, and their significance in strengthening local governance structures. This field visit aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical experience, equipping future administrators with knowledge and skills critical for their professional development.
