The Department of Public Administration has organized a one-day field visit for the students of the BPA-2024 batch (2nd Semester) as part of their course “Public Administration in Bangladesh (PA 1206). On Thursday, 05 December 2024, the visit was taken place from 0800 hrs to 1500 hrs and aims to enhance students' understanding of theoretical concepts through practical exposure. The students have visited the National Institute of Local Government (NILG), a premier institution in Dhaka dedicated to research and training in local governance and public administration. This visit provided a unique platform for students to observe and interact with practitioners, gaining firsthand insights into the role and functions of public administration at both national and sub-national levels. The primary goal of this visit was to offer students an experiential learning opportunity that aligns with their academic studies. By engaging directly with experts at NILG, students will; Understand the operational frameworks of public administration in Bangladesh; Appreciate the challenges and strategies involved in governance and policy implementation at the grassroots level; Bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The Department of Public Administration remains committed to fostering an environment where students can develop a comprehensive understanding of their field through innovative learning approaches. This field visit was a step towards preparing future administrators who can effectively contribute to the development and governance of Bangladesh.
