Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) observed the 126th birth anniversary of the National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam with due solemnity in a festive atmosphere. To spread the spirit and values of Nazrul among the young generation, a discussion and cultural program was organized at BUP’s Bijoy Auditorium on this occasion.

The Pro-Vice Chancellor of BUP, Professor Dr. Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain graced the event as the Chief Guest. During the discussion, the Pro-Vice Chancellor highlighted Nazrul’s revolutionary spirit, his deep commitment to humanity, egalitarianism, and his contributions to literature and music. He stated that Kazi Nazrul Islam stands as a timeless inspiration in our national history and gave voice to the oppressed, the deprived, and the downtrodden. Besides the discussion, a vibrant cultural program was held, featuring songs, poems, and recitations of the poet’s works, paying tribute to his life and legacy.

BUP high officials, faculty members, staffs and students were also present in the programme.
