On 11 September 2025, the Department of Accounting and Information Systems (AIS) at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) organized a Chairman’s Address to help students understand professional accounting pathways and share their academic expectations.

The event began with a fireside chat featuring Prawma Khan, FCCA, Country Manager of ACCA, and Seezan M. Chowdhury, Founder of ACE Advisory. The discussion was moderated by Dr. MD. Tapan Mahmud, Chairman of AIS.

This was followed by an engaging session titled “From Campus to Career: Unlocking Opportunities with ACCA.” During the session, ACCA representatives explained how pursuing an ACCA qualification can serve as a launchpad for a successful professional career, encouraging students through an interactive activity.

The program concluded with the Chairman’s address, where he shared insights on students’ future career directions, emphasized the importance of professional development, and discussed initiatives aimed at strengthening the department’s academic and professional environment.
