Prize Giving Ceremony of Devthon 6.0 organized by BUP Development Leaders’ Club (BUPDLC) of department of Development Studies

Devthon 6.0 was organized by the BUP Development Leaders’ Club (BUPDLC) under the supervision of the Department of Development Studies, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). The two-day event took place from 17–18 November 2025 at Bijoy Auditorium, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and brought together students, professionals, and development practitioners for a diverse range of academic and creative activities. Devthon 6.0 showcased a dynamic series of activities designed to inspire creativity, analytical thinking, and career readiness among students of Development Studies. The event featured the Development Case Competition, held in three stages, where participants first analyzed issues of urban poverty in an online round, then presented innovative solutions on campus, and finally competed in the Grand Finale at Bijoy Auditorium with detailed project proposals before a panel of judges.Students also participated in the Short Documentary Competition, producing impactful visual stories on social development and sustainability. This segment encouraged critical thinking, storytelling, and deeper engagement with pressing global issues. In addition, Devthon 6.0 introduced the Creative Digital Contest, featuring two categories: DevShot, a photo story competition highlighting development realities through photography, and DevToon, a comic contest that creatively simplified and communicated complex development topics for wider audiences. A major attraction of the program was the Development Career Expo, which connected students with NGOs, international organizations, research institutes, and social enterprises. Through interactive sessions, discussions, and networking opportunities, students explored career pathways and gained insights into sustainable development work. The event also hosted DevTalk, a panel discussion where young development professionals shared experiences and guidance on starting a career in the development sector.Devthon 6.0 concluded with a vibrant prize giving ceremony at Bijoy Auditorium, celebrating student achievements and the impactful learning experiences gained throughout the event.
