A student from the Department of Finance and Banking, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), Md Al Shahoriar Hossain, has achieved a notable milestone by securing the First Runner-Up position at the Technopreneurship 2026 competition, organized by Gigalogy. He was awarded a prize of BDT 120,000 in recognition of his outstanding performance.
Technopreneurship 2026 was a rigorous 15-week startup development program that guided participants through structured mentoring, business model refinement, strategic validation, and multiple pitching rounds. The competition aimed to transform innovative ideas into scalable and investment-ready ventures.
In this highly competitive platform, Md Al Shahoriar Hossain presented CyLnk, a startup concept designed to provide dedicated cybersecurity solutions for SME owners worldwide. The idea integrates financial feasibility, risk assessment, and scalable revenue modelling; reflecting the analytical training and practical orientation of the Department of Finance and Banking.
The program concluded with a grand finale at Le Méridien Dhaka, where finalists pitched before industry experts, investors, and corporate leaders. His strong performance at the national level highlights the growing excellence of Finance and Banking students in innovation-driven and technology-focused competitions.
