A team of four students from the BCSE-23 batch, Department of CSE, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), has claimed the title of Champion at the BUET CSE Fest 2026 Inter-University Capture The Flag (CTF) Competition held on 30 January 2026 at BUET premises. The winning team members are Ajwad Mohtasim (23524202014), Abu Sayed (23524202062), Mihir Bormon (23524202121), and Towfiq Omar Rakin (23524202131).

The competition followed a two-stage format covering key cybersecurity areas such as cryptography, reverse engineering, binary exploitation, digital forensics, and web security. The team ranked second among 180 teams in the online preliminary round and secured first place in the 8-hour onsite final at BUET, outperforming the top 30 university teams nationwide. Dhaka International University (DIU) and the University of Dhaka (DU) placed second and third, respectively.

Bangladesh University of Professionals extends heartfelt congratulations to the team for this outstanding achievement and hopes it will inspire future CSE students to pursue competitive programming and cybersecurity with dedication.
