The Grand Finale of "Capitalizer 2026," presented by JCI Dhaka Astral, powered by Eastern Bank PLC and ACI Limited, and co-powered by Gold Kinen, was held on 23rd May 2026 at Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel, Dhaka. The 6th edition of this flagship inter-university investment strategy competition was organised by BUP Finance Society under the Department of Business Administration in Finance and Banking, Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). The event brought together talented students from leading universities across the country onto one competitive platform centred on investment decision-making, strategy, and innovation.

The event was graced by Major General A S M Ridwanur Rahman, awc, afwc, psc, G, Director General of Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) as the Chief Guest. His invaluable guidance played a crucial role in the success of the event, and his presence with us throughout the occasion was a source of inspiration and added immense prestige to the event.

Brigadier General Md. Aminul Akbar Khan, awc, afwc, psc, MPhil, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, delivered an address that was both inspiring and thought-provoking, resonating deeply with the audience. Lieutenant Colonel Md. Atique Chowdhury BSP, Inf, Chaurman of the Department of Business Administration in Finance & Banking, followed with an equally engaging speech, motivating the finalists with words that were as grounding as they were encouraging. Adding to the spirit of the occasion, the Representative of JCI Dhaka Astral, title sponsor of Capitalizer 2026, shared encouraging words, underscoring their commitment to and pride in the Capitalizer journey.

Capitalizer 2026 witnessed participation from nearly 1,200 students representing more than 30 universities across Bangladesh. The competition unfolded across multiple rigorous stages, beginning with an online submission round that concluded on 9th May, followed by an offline second round held at BUP on 16th May. As part of the Grand Finale experience, the finalist teams were also privileged to attend an exclusive mentorship session in collaboration with bKash Limited on 20th May, offering them invaluable industry insights ahead of the final stage. 

After these rounds of rigorous competition and evaluation, only the most outstanding teams earned their place at the Grand Finale. Team Assets = Capital + Liabilities from Bangladesh University of Professionals claimed the Championship of Capitalizer 2026, with Team 5O5 from Dhaka University and Team The Godfathers from Bangladesh University of Professionals University finishing as 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-up respectively.
