Biography

Mr. Alamgir Kabir is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). As a faculty member, his responsibilities include delivering theoretical courses, demonstrating laboratory techniques, conducting field-based courses, and supervising research students. Prior to his faculty position, his experience as a Research Assistant in both national and international settings equipped him with valuable hands-on research skills. He completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Environmental Science from Khulna University, Bangladesh.


His current research interests lie primarily in water resource management and modeling, with additional interests spanning environmental pollution monitoring, toxicological studies, and their management. He has been awarded four research grants from the Centre for Higher Studies and Research at Bangladesh University of Professionals. Additionally, he has published many articles and book chapters in reputed journals, with several others currently under review
