Biography
Professor Dr. Muhammad Ekramul Haque is a prominent Bangladeshi legal scholar specializing in constitutional law, comparative constitutional law, and international law. He earned his LLB (Hons) and LLM degrees from the University of Dhaka, graduating with first-class honors and receiving a gold medal for academic excellence. He further advanced his studies by obtaining a PhD in Constitutional Law and International Law from Monash University, Australia.Dr. Haque currently serves as a Professor and the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Dhaka. His academic work focuses on the development and transformation of constitutional law in Bangladesh, and he has published extensively in this field. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, he plays an active role in legal education by training judges, government officials, and legal practitioners.Recognized both nationally and internationally, Professor Haque holds editorial and advisory positions in various legal journals and organizations. His contributions have significantly influenced the understanding and practice of constitutional law in Bangladesh and beyond.
