This October, LitFest 7.0, hosted by BUP Literature and Drama Club, celebrated "Subtle Artistry: Literary Muse with Minimal Hues" and brought together over 300 students from 26 universities nationwide for four-days flagship event from 6 to 9 October. This national event offered an excellent opportunity for the students to showcase their creative writing and artistic talents, emphasizing innovation and uniqueness.
The festival arranged eleven literary and artistic competitions including Lit quiz, Pop quiz, Painting , Stage Drama, Literary Article Writing, Haiku and so on. The event concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing exceptional talent and promoting artistic camaraderie among participants. On the final day of the festival, October 9, respected Pro Vice Chancellor of BUP, Professor Dr. Khondoker Mokaddem Hossain was present as the chief guest and handed out prizes to the winners. Brig. Gen. Mohammed Shamsul Arefin, ndc, psc Dean of FASS, along with Brig. Gen. Mohammed Monir Hossain Patwary, psc, Dean of FBS, was also present in the session. Associate Professor Dr. Md. Mohoshin Reza, Chairman, Department of English, as the Coordinator of the club supervised the whole event and Lecturer Sumaeta Marjan, Department of English, as the Moderator of the club oversaw the details of the happenings. The ceremony was attended by a number of BUP top officers, EC members, faculty members, students, and invited visitors.
"We're thrilled by LitFest 7.0's success," said Noshin Tabassum Shifa, President of BUP Literature and Drama Club. The event's theme challenged participants to explore subtle creativity, creating a platform to celebrate the beauty in simplicity. It also emphasized the importance of literature in fostering creativity and imagination, leaving a lasting impact on all participants.
